Brojayla Patches was established in December 1997 when owner Michelle Henderson purchased an existing home based mail order patchwork fabric business. After looking at the amount of stock, three small children and the size of all the lounge room at home it was decided to set up in a shop front in the main shopping area in the small Northern Victorian town of Boort. Boort is located halfway between the larger regional centres of Bendigo and Swan Hill and is known as the Northern Oasis with its lovely little lake and pretty surrounds. A shop was found and the stock moved in with the intent of opening the door when processing mail orders. Twelve years and two moves later the shop is now located in one of the larger shop fronts in Boort which Michelle and husband Paul renovated about six years ago. It is large and airy with high ceiling allowing plenty of wall space to display quilts as well as lots of floor space for the large range of stock.   

Around two thousand bolts of fabric from many of the well known designers fill every corner of the two rooms. There are also patterns, kits, tools, accessories, wadding and much more as well as a range of knitting yarns, haberdashery and craft items.

The shop is open from Tuesday - Friday 9:30am - 4:00pm and all other times is by appointment.
